Only when you explicitly save, Companion Play stores a compact summary of your game conversation: game and save names, where you stopped, party or character details, build or loadout notes, objectives, important items, decisions, open questions, the next step, short evidence notes, and timestamps.
Companion Play does not request or store your complete ChatGPT transcript, raw screenshots, game-account credentials, or the videogame's own save files. Screenshots and web research may help ChatGPT understand a session, but Companion Play stores only the compact synthesis passed to the save tool.
In production, access requires OAuth. Each account is stored in a separate one-way hashed namespace. Raw access tokens are not stored in the save database.
Saves remain until you delete them. You can export an individual save as JSON or request account-data access or deletion through support. Temporary export links expire after ten minutes and are removed after download.
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. Data may be processed by our hosting and identity providers only to operate and secure the service.
